I am officially 13 days post partum and feeling a lot better except for some pain here and there. I am about 3 pounds away from my prepregnancy weight. I gained 17 pounds while pregnant. Somehow i kept gaining then losing weight throughout. I made sure i stayed active by working out the entire time, although that reduced to once or twice a week by the time i was down to the last few weeks as i was having some pelvic pain and also quite tired from working.
I believe working out played a huge part in having a blissful pregnancy and also being able to bounce back fast. My body is no where close to what it used to be, i am flabby in the tummy area and have lost some muscle tone but i am in no rush to get back. I just want to be healthy and fit while enjoying my new family. I at the same time cannot wait to hit the weights at the gym.
Our baby girl’s name is Oluwademilade Tabitha Akingbade which means God has crowned us with beauty and grace.
