Today we are featuring BabyFatBoss! I came across her page via a friend on Instagram and started following her. She does such an amazing job and i love it because i do realize that someday i will be ready to get pregnant and i will need some more dedication to keep myself from getting out of shape beyond the natural lol. We all need dedication to get back into shape afterwards so seeing a page like hers is extremely inspiring!
How did you get into working out?
I really got serious about working out after I graduated from college. My sister had joined a kickboxing gym and I was really intrigued so I joined. I’ve boxed/kick boxed for about 10 years and started Crossfit about a year in a half ago.
What motivates you?
My goals motivate me; where I want to be.
What is your diet like?
I follow the Paleo diet, which is protein, veggies, and fruit.
What nutrition advice do you have for people starting their fitness journey?
You can’t outwork a poor diet. It took me a long time to understand that concept. The most important component is making sure you’re not eating any processed foods and maintain clean eating.
How often do you workout and what is your workout routine like?
I work out 4-5 times a week and it’s constantly varied. I pretty much always have squats, burpees, and pushups in at least 2-3 of those workouts but the other exercises are ever changing.
What are your top three exercises if you had to pick?
Squats, pushups and burpees!
What is your favorite quote?
It would have to be “Pregnant Not Powerless” with “Progress Not Perfection” as a close 2nd
Do you teach any fitness classes? Tell us about them
I don’t currently teach any classes.
How do you set fitness goals and how do you measure your success?
I learned a great way to set goals from my Crossfit coach. I make sure my goals are specific, able to be measurable (“I want to be able to do 10 pushups 3 months from now”) achievable, realistic, and timed (“this goal will be reached by…”)
Advice to people trying to get into fitness
We all begin at different places and no two journeys are the same. Never compare yourself to anyone else and never throw in the towel unless your sweat soaks it☺️
