Once again, another great contestant from Biggest loser season 15. Super thrilled as always especially for this post. David brown was such an inspiration on the show. His stories were so moving and just watching him push through all obstacles was amazing!
You have such an emotional story, how has it been dealing with that and being away from family for the show?
Being apart from my family is the hardest part of the journey. I’m such a devoted husband and father, even overnight trips are tough, let alone being away for 4-months without talking to my best friends in the world.
You spoke about watching past episodes and thinking you could not attempt the workouts, how did you get over that fear?
Simply I had the right coach for me. Dolvett believed in me when I didn’t or couldn’t believe in myself. It was his belief in me that helped me embrace the fear, to face it head on while picking my head up, and before long, I started to believe in myself.
What was it like being a contestant on the show and describe a day in the camp
Dream come true. I was sick, I needed help desperately, I needed “rehabilitation”, and the BL style of camp was the perfect fit at the perfect time in my life. There is no average day, but the goal is to maximize your time with eating right, working out, learning a ton of information about healthy lifestyle, and recovery so you can go do it all again the next day.
What advise do you have for others trying to get to where you are now?
There is sickness in the silence. I was stuck, in a rut in life, depressed and didn’t even realize it. You have to be willing to ask for help, to take that first step, and then follow it up with another step the next day. I tell people today to do what you CAN today, so you can do what you WANT tomorrow. It’s the daily, intentional, consistent steps that add up to the big changes we all desire. Oh and hard work and dedication!
