CSG Fitness had the privilege of interviewing the famous Wale Wates, Nigerian Comedian and MC. You can definitely see he is putting in the hard work to stay fit. I noticed his fitness enthusiasm on Instagram and was blown away. You know i would not miss a chance to interview a fitness junkie.

How did you get into working out?
26 July 2013, Two weeks after I came back from a Comedy Tour of North America (LWKMD by Jedi) I had over eaten and I didn’t like the after-show pictures.
What motivates you?
Mainly I’m self-motivated but I also follow gym freaks on social media they motivate me, you don’t have to be a fitness guru if you go to the gym or workout regularly you motivate me when I cant push myself.
What nutrition advice do you have for people starting their fitness journey?
Firstly cut the potion, cut the sugar, junk food, fizzy drinks and fatty foods that’s the 1st start that worked for me.
How do you combine family, work and fitness lifestyle?
My day is constant clock watching, my time is planned, My wife and Daughter know when its workout time no excuses would hold me back I’m gone.
What is your favorite cheat meal?
Cookies, Donuts, Cake….. I control my meals its snacking that’s always been my major problem.
What is your current weekly workout routine like?
4-5 days a week 2hrs max….
What are your favorite exercises?
Deadlifts My Max is 200KG, I’m trying to make 250 by December 2015
What if any supplements do you advice people to take?
I don’t take supplements, I wish I did but I don’t know enough about supplements to use it.
What is your biggest fitness accomplishment?
1) Losing weight and keeping it off for almost 2yrs, 2) Getting ripped honestly when I started I didn’t know I’ll look like this
What is your advice on pre and post workout nutrition?
Pre-workout: Banana & Carbs
Post-Workout: Chicken, Fish mainly protein diet.
How do you set fitness goals and how do you measure your success?
I don’t have fitness goals, I just know what I want to look like and I work out regularly till I achieve it. Well I guess I use social media to measure my success, I post pictures and people judge.
