Cellulite is such a big issue for many women and it’s not a surprise why. It affects about 90% of women! I often have clients ask me how to reduce cellulite on thighs or legs or home remedies to reduce cellulite. Cellulite is a layer of fat that appears underneath the skin and is bothersome for many. It takes a lot of hard work to get rid of cellulite. Many of us struggle with it, i have some in a few areas of my body and working to get rid of the cellulite. Today we will discuss some simple tips on how to get rid of cellulite and also some home remedies.
How to reduce Cellulite on the body
Cellulite reduction exercises, This keeps coming up right? Sorry but you have to put in the work, i would not come on here and tell you some cream to buy etc. You can implement some weight training into your fitness program. Working out will help you burn off fat and reduce your weight which is essential to get rid of cellulite. Weight training is awesome for losing body fat, you can do them at home or at the gym. I have a post on a quick 5 minutes morning workout you could try before heading out.
This is another amazing way to get rid of body fat and reduce cellulite. You could sign up for races as little as 5k runs. Maybe even grab a friend or two and hit the road or treadmill. Working out gives you movement and gets your heart working, and improves circulation to move your blood around.
This is so important to reduce cellulite. Water helps to detox your body, flush out toxins, improve constipation and keep you hydrated. You could set goals like drinking 2 glasses of water once you wake up. You could also eat more water-rich foods like cucumber, watermelon, coconut water powder.
Healthy Fats & Omega 3s
This is a huge part of it. Omega 3s have anti-inflammatory properties and promote optimal health. They are great for the heart, retinal function, weight management and so much more. some examples of ways to get them into your diet are walnut, flax seeds, flax seed oil, hemp seeds, fish oil capsules, salmon, edamame and so much more. I talked about them in my belly fat loss series.
These are things like berries, acai, camu powder, macha green tea, pineapple, colorful peppers, tomatoes and dark green leafy vegetables. Antioxidants help to cleanse the body and reduce free radical damage to the body.
Vitamin A increases the production of collagen, a protein that gives your skin strength and structure. It also helps to encourage the production of cells in your body. Try things like kale, seaweed, deep green leafy spinach etc.
It is great for digestion, gut health, regulates hormones, builds up the immune system. Bone broth also has anti-inflammatory properties and helps reduce cellulite. It also contains collagen. Collagen is an important protein used to make the connective tissue in your skin, tendons, ligaments, and blood vessels and hence reduce cellulite appearance.
This is produced by collagen when you refrigerate bone broth. It is also good to tighten loose skin, for hair, nail and skin growth, and improves digestion.
We have all heard so much about the benefits of essential oils recently. They are so beneficial in so many ways. One of the reasons is how they help to reduce cellulite. Some examples of essential oils for this purpose are birch oil, rosemary oil, and juniper oil.
One other way to reduce cellulite is massage. This helps to improve circulation in the body
Some people have talked about how beneficial this is, although i have not tried it yet. This stimulates blood and lymph flow, removes toxins and improves circulation. You can use a body brush with natural fibers. Do this daily for 5 minutes daily before you get into the shower.
This helps to remove dead cells, regenerate healthy cells, stimulate blood and lymph flow. The caffeine also has tightening effects. Try this recipe:
1/4 cup coffee ground
3 Tablespoons of sugar
2 Tablespoons of melted coconut oil
Mix together to form a paste. Do this two to three times a week.
