I get it, its so hard not to do this and i must admit, i sometimes still catch myself doing this.
How do we compare?
1) Comparing your weight gain so far
2) Comparing your bump size with others
3) Comparing how much workout you can do based on what others do
Every pregnancy is different, so its not really fair on others or on yourself to think you should be at the same point someone else is. The only person to compare with is yourself. You are not in a battle with anyone else but yourself.
I hate hearing people say to others “i was way smaller when i was at that point” “why are you so big already” “are you carryign twins” “you are eating too much” In my case, right now i am still quite small and so i have people thinking i am 3 months when im close to 7 months lol
Every pregnancy is very different from each other based on fitness or health levels, complications or individual issues, health requirements, environment, activity level and many others. Our bodies are built differently. Some people have been crazy active before pregnancy and so they can maintain this and stay fit or endure more pain while others may be on the opposite side of the pole and be struggling to stay active.
Pregnancy really isnt the time to be trying to lose weight (unless if overweight and recommended by your doctor) or gain muscle. It is the time to plan for a healthy baby!
