If you are like me or even most people, you probably spend a lot of your time on your phone. Social media and technology is such a huge part of our lives. Sometimes this can be a hindrance to our walk with God or become distracting. I came across some apps that have been really helpful for me. These apps have been really amazing and have given me the opportunity to not limit bible reading, sermons or praying to a certain time of the day. Here is a list of 10 apps i believe will help transform your walk with God and also help you develop a more consistent quiet time with God

10 Apps that will strengthen your walk with God
Faithplay
Gosh, i honestly think this is a close second to the Bible app in terms of my favorites. This is probably the best sermon app i know. I found this app via a fellow blogger and it has been amazing. Imagine having all your favorite preachers all in one app! I mean it has everything: Joyce Meyer, Steven Furtick, Dr. Charles Stanley, Rick Warren, the list goes on. There are podcasts from these great people, their church sermons, relationship advice, or advice on various topics etc. I love it so much although it gets a bit overwhelming in a good way. I have several people i love to listen to and they all have a ton of messages and i cannot wait to get through all.
Youversion Bible app
This bible app allows you to read and listen to so many versions of the bible. I love this app for so many reasons. You can add your friends on there and see what they are reading, highlighting etc so you can be inspired too. You can also check out notes from people around the world on various Bible verses and topics. It has a huge selection of reading plans for various topics or situations you may be going through. One thing i love totally is the ability to read devotions with your friends. This app has definitely made a huge impact keeping me consistent in my walk with God and helping me learn from others.
Spotify
I love being able to listen to music on the go and Spotify has helped with that. It allows you to create playlists and add songs onto it to listen as you go. You can also join people’s playlists! With Spotify, you can add various christian music to listen to as you drive or go about your daily life.
GroupMe
GroupMe is one app that i use to connect daily with my family in Christ. I have probably mentioned my fellowship here before, its called Bethel Campus Fellowship (BCF). This fellowship made a tremendous impact on my life. It is such a joy to see young people devoted to living their lives totally sold out for Christ. Anyway, GroupMe allows me to be a part of different groups there and fellowship together. It is a chat group a bit like whats app.
Verses
If you want to be one of those people that can spit verses all day, this is the app for you. I found this app and love being able to learn bible verses on the go. You basically quiz yourself till you have these verses in your heart. It allows you to keep repeating the verse, type it out, listen to it etc till you get it.
You and me Forever
This is the app for the book by Francis Chan and his wife. I love the book so much, i got the hard copy so i can highlight. The app has the entire book plus videos and exercises at the end of the chapters. You can also listen to the book which makes it great while moving around. It is a book on marriage but not like the usual marriage books, it basically shows you the importance of marriage and family in light of heaven.
Abide
This is like a meditation app, it has very bible stories for various topics. You can listen to these stories while you drift off to sleep or just meditate. I am not really into meditation so i have not really used this app.
SheReadsTruth
I have not used this app yet but hear its amazing, However, it costs $1.99 monthly. Its an app with reading plans that are quick and easy to read. At the end of each devotional, you are able to make comments and join other women in conversation.
IhopKc
I finally went to the ONETHING2018 conference and wow mind blown. It was not what i expected but what i needed. I had expected to go there and listen to sermons from great speakers. However, there was barely much sermon, instead it was more of a moment with each person and God. A time to really spend and hear from God without being fed by a minister, a time for God to open our eyes and ears to himself. The app has a ton of their teachings and videos, hence why this faith app is awesome for me.
Pray as you Go
I actually found this app while prepping to write this post and love it so far. With the pray as you go app, you list various people you would love to pray for regularly. Every day you get a set of maybe 5 people to pray for and you flip through as you complete each one. It sounds super simple hence why i love it, an opportunity to be more aware of your prayers for others. This app is dear to me because i honestly believe life is not about YOU alone. We need to daily intercede for others and be there for each other. Since becoming a mom, it has been so important for me to pray for other children, or people looking for spouses and children of their own. I get so disturbed when i hear bad news concerning children, so this app works great because i can list each person i need to pray for and get reminded.
These are some great sermon and faith apps. What are some great apps that have helped your walk with God?
