I got a lot of requests for my top must have baby products for twins. I have a previous blog post from my daughter on newborn baby essentials I loved using with her however with twins I have more items I am loving so I figured I’ll write a new one. While pregnant i pulled up every post on What to buy when expecting twins and Twin must have products for the first year. There were so many recommendations and they really helped me. These baby products are those I feel are so essential and we could hardly survive each day without them. With twins we definitely have our hands full all the time so having the right baby products helps a ton. As time goes on I’ll probably have some more products I love.
Before I go into the list though, can I just talk about how hard it is raising twins? Don’t get me wrong i am so thankful to have twins to raise. Check out my post on how we found out we were having twins and our labor and delivery story. But Gosh I am so thankful for family and friends that have come through with helping out and bringing food. I have barely cooked since they were born. One thing I have learned as a twin mom is to accept and ask for help. I have gotten so much better at asking people when they are coming to help out or to bring food for us lol.
I HAVE INCLUDED AFFILIATE LINKS IN THIS POST. HAVE NO FEAR, THE PRICE OF EACH ITEM WILL BE THE SAME FOR YOU, BUT IF YOU SHOP THROUGH THE LINKS I INCLUDED FOR EACH ITEM, YOU WILL BE HELPING MAINTAIN THIS BLOG THROUGH A SMALL COMMISSION I RECEIVE OFF YOUR PURCHASE FROM THE STORES. THANK YOU!
Twin must have products for the first year
The TWIN Z Pillow
This has been a life saver for breastfeeding twins at the same time. I can’t imagine what I’ll have done without this. It also has a back support which has been helpful. It has fast become my best friend since I’m stuck on it for a good chunk of the day. Sometimes when I’m alone I would lay the twins on it and bottle feed them. It can also be used to prop them for pictures.
Fisher price swing
This one has been recalled however we still use it with careful monitoring just cause it was great with my first. Since the twins don’t like to lay on their backs, this is one product they sleep a bit longer in. Although they will much rather sleep in our arms.
Diaper bag
With twins, trust me a back pack diaper bag is the way to go. You do not need two diaper bags but one with lots of compartments is important. A backpack one helps to have your hands free to keep them safe and carry their car seats.
Philips Avent Bottle Warmer
I love our bottle warmer so much. Since it’s both of them I would usually start heating up one in the warmer and the other in a cup with hot water. I am considering getting a second one though. The warmer is definitely great to heat bottles up fast. There are newer ones that stop when they get to the right temperature, this one doesn’t but I just do the back of hand or wrist check before feeding.
Spectra S1 Plus
I love this breast pump! My insurance only paid for the ameeda which in my opinion was horrible and barely pumped anything out. I had also used Medela with my first and I was barely able to get any milk out and ended up milking myself with my hands the entire year when nothing else worked. Sounds weird i know but i was determined to breastfeed. The Spectra also has a much gentle suction compared to all the ones I have tried and pumps out milk great. Being gentle is so important to me because I hate pumping so much. Being glued to the pump several times a day and hurting from it isn’t fun. It has a night light which I love for middle of the night pumping and has a timer cause I forget to time myself. It also shows you how high or low the suction is.
Changing Table
We decided to get a moveable one due to space so we have this in the hallway. It’s been really great so far and very sturdy. It has pockets that we use to keep all the diaper changing needs.
Snuggle Me Organic
This has been somewhat helpful in keeping them cozy while they sleep. The few times they sleep on their backs, it’s been inside this. It keeps them snug and fits around their bodies which I guess they love.
Boppy Original Nursing Pillow
I use this one when I need to feed only one of them or if I am feeding both in the bedroom since the twin z pillow lives in the living room all day. I also use it to prop them up or have them take quick naps when I need to go brush my teeth or something brief.
Joovy Twin Roo+ Car Seat Stroller
This stroller is an amazing start for twin life. It’s so easy to open up and close for use. I usually keep this in the car trunk for use when we go out on errands or doctor visits. The car seats are side by side so you can’t see them since they face outwards. I would have preferred up and down so i can see them. That aside, it is a perfect stroller for traveling around.
Contours Options Elite Tandem Double
We haven’t used this much but mainly when taking walks since we use the joovy twin roo to go on errands. So far it’s been really easy to maneuver around. I love that it has various ways you can place the car seats so they can both face different directions.
Infant bath tub
Thankfully I only need one of this since I bath one at a time. This works great for newborns due to the mesh so they can lay down on. When they are older you can remove the mesh and just have them sit in it.
Nose Frida
This is great for removing those annoying boogers in their little nostrils. You get to suck them out rather than having to use your mouth directly.
Dekor Plus Diaper Pail
Some people don’t like this but it has been so helpful. It definitely helps keep the odor away but from experience with my daughter, when they hit six months and start to eat solid foods their poop smells worse and the diaper pail may not always block it out as much. It also cuts down the number of times you need to take out the trash. With regular trash you are limited on how many you can stash before you need to empty the trash. The one downside is they require a special bag.
Infant Optics Baby Monitor
I haven’t used this much since they sleep in our room right now. However a baby monitor is essential. We got the infants optic one this time around and have heard great reviews about it.
Chefman Mini Portable Fridge
We figured with twins we will need a fridge to avoid going downstairs so many times in the night for their bottles. We have this in our room to store their bottles if hubby is going to feed them or if we have the grandparents around to help. It works great cause it can be used to heat up the bottles (I haven’t tried this feature) and to keep them cold. Hubby makes fun of me saying people use this fridge to store beer and I’m using it for baby milk loll
Pack and play
They don’t sleep in this yet since they hate laying on their backs. However it’s been great having this in the living room to change their diapers and store other daily use twin items. We don’t have to go up and down the stairs every single time to change their diapers especially since we go through about 20 diapers a day lol

How we found out we were having twins
Philips Avent 4-in-1 Electric Steam Sterilizer
I love our sterilizer, used it with our first and now again. It turns off by itself and it’s really fast in sterilizing. We use it several times a day to keep everything sterilized.
Dr browns bottles
I started out with the Tommy tippee bottles because I was too lazy to wash all the parts of Dr Brown’s. However when it seemed like they were having gas, I decided to try it out. They definitely help reduce spit up and gas. Only annoying thing like I said is the many parts it has.
Pumping bra
Omg what will I do without a pumping bra. When breastfeeding in general you are glued to the pump not to mention having to feed twins. Your pump and pumping bra will very quickly become your best friends. With a pumping bra you can pump and get other things around the house done. I often times have to hold one twin while pumping or dress my toddler up or do something else so being hands free is a must!
Haakaa Manual Breast Pump
I haven’t used this much since I usually breastfeed them both at the same time but it’s a great pump you can use to collect milk while breastfeeding one baby cause often times the other boob leaks.
Twingaroo
This is a pretty good baby carrier although I have only used it to carry them both a few times. It does have a number of things to snap together which can get annoying but for the most part I like it. It can be worn as a single baby carrier or double.
Boba Wrap Baby Carrier
I have the Boba wrap from my daughter and then got the keababies one so I and hubby could both have one if needed. Both work great and are easy to wrap. I however feel like the Boba wraps better and is more snug.
Night light
These help at night to avoid running into things but at the same time not having to put on all the lights.
I think that is all for now, i hope you truly find my newborn twin essentials post very helpful. One thing to note is everyone has different experiences and needs, babies are different, so these may or may not work for everyone.
