My top Twin pregnancy essentials
Twin pregnancies are no walk in the park hence you need to have the essentials to make your pregnancy easier. With my singleton pregnancy, everything was so easy from the beginning through the end except for the labor and delivery aspect. From morning sickness, nausea, bathroom breaks, body aches etc, twin pregnancies tend to have more side effects due to more hormones. Here is a list of my top pregnancy must haves to make it easier on you. I wrote a post on the top baby must haves for twins which you can check out.

Twin Pregnancy book
Immediately I found out we were expecting twins I ordered a pregnancy book for multiples. It’s full of so much information to help you thrive in your twin pregnancy. It also gets you excited about what is to come and calms you down about certain fears or myths you may have heard. The book i got for Twin pregnancy was the When You’re Expecting Twins, Triplets, or Quads Book
Morning sickness medicine
I had so much morning sickness and nothing seemed to help completely. However i used vitamin b6, emetrol, Ginger tea, morning sickness tea like Pink Stork Morning Sickness Tea to try to reduce it. I usually went to bed by 8pm because sleeping was the only thing that really helped.
Ton of pillows
I needed like seven pillows to sleep. Get as many pillows as you need to keep you comfortable. The more elevated my head was, the less leg cramps i experienced so extra pillows was a must for me.
Pregnancy pillow
The extra weight from pregnancy and all the aches and pains and tiredness definitely require you to have a pregnancy pillow. The Leachco Snoogle is a great pregnancy pillow to have because it wraps around your body and gives the extra support to the areas that need it. I found that sleeping on my side helped to some extent and also reduced the cramping in my legs.

Compression socks
Hubby surprised me with this one day and I told him it was the best gift he had ever given me lol. But for real it was a life saver. By like 30 weeks I started developing a lot of muscle cramps especially at night. Wearing compression socks helped relieve it a whole lot and this helped me sleep better. There were days the muscle cramps in the middle of the night were so bad and I had to pee. I would struggle to get up and walk, hubby had to help me walk to the bathroom or help pull me out of the bed.
Maternity support belt
Like i mentioned in my what to expect with twin pregnancy post, with all that extra weight your back and lower body will hurt a lot. The belly band comes in handy by helping to support and lift up your belly to avoid putting a lot of pressure on your back and also help reduce swelling in the legs. Do not wear it all day though, try to remove it while sitting down. I wore mine a few times because towards the end i was having a ton of lower body pains and walking or climbing the stairs was becoming really hard.

Maternity clothes
I didn’t get a ton of these just because I worked from home plus I was worried I will get them and then have to buy bigger sizes again. But I would definitely have needed them if I worked outside the house. I started to wear hubby’s t-shirts and a lot of sweaters. With maternity clothes, i recommend buying a few every couple of months with twin pregnancy especially if your belly gets really big.
Water bottle
Especially during summer you would need extra water. I always had cold water with ice cubes inside a water bottle. Whenever I didn’t have this I felt so tired dehydrated and sluggish.
Maternity bras or bra extenders
These were a lifesaver! With bigger and more tender boobs regular bras can get so uncomfortable. You might as well invest in these since you will need them to breastfeed anyway. I got the iloveSIA maternity bras that came with extra bra extenders and i am so glad i did because i ended up needing them.
